These ghost towns are built and not lived in vs. lived in then ghosted. Planned economy + Chinese stock market being like gambling since their accounting reporting is opaque makes for a big market for tangible investments, such as real estate.

Last time I posted on Reddit it was in an anti-America, free healthcare thread and I stated “the majority of countries do not have free healthcare”. The response I got was a toxic, paragraph-long harangue from some dude who’d gone through my post history, while in the end not debunking my statement. That’s why I knew it was time to go.

What’s the term for a government that prosecutes small crimes by law abiding citizens while ignoring systemic large scale crimes/issues? I heard it on TD a while ago in relation to the UK.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and that’s my conclusion as well. I have a roomate who went full panick mode, thought they’d close state borders, and fled town. Probably because CNN suggested it or something
