What's really interesting is that the Soviet Union could meme (relative the times/propaganda), build impressive architecture, and had all manner of iconography that could inspire- that ended within a decade or so of Stalin's death. This doesn't mean Stalin isn't a piece of shit of epic proportions. However, I do find it interesting that Stalin's pre-Marxist life had a lot of dealings with the Church (up to and including seminary). You didn't see those proclivities (art, architecture, music) coming out of people (leadership) that were more or less born and bred pinkos. I think you're onto something- without a solid foundation, you'll just be a rad-left doomer.

I knew of him from an early age (12) but had yet to listen to him. Perhaps the most vivid memory i had was a teacher in school dancing a jig when he admitted to a painkiller problem (the lady was a legitimately insufferable person that had no business molding the minds of teenagers). By this point I still only had an IDEA of who Rush was. Fast forward to college, I got a decorative concrete job to pay the bills while I did part-time classes. My crew foreman, an outstanding guy who works his ass off and has his hands in a lot of trades (ya, I respect this guy- A LOT), introduced me. Our first job together he tells me that he can't work without the radio and asks if something political is alright. I didn't particularly care aside from not wanting to rock the boat. Turns out he listens to Rush... Levin, Jerry Doyle (when he was still around), Lars Larson, and Michael Savage. First day or two I didn't really pay attention, but it started to set in. Been binging Rush ever since.

Pretty sure all the congressmen for each state are in a block (50 votes total) and they more or less have to do what their respective state governments tell them to do. There are something like 30 solid GOP states (i.e. governor and legislatiure(s)).

These people don't care about power, as a concept. They care about it as a tool. It's not that so and so abuses it, it's that THEY'RE not the ones abusing. It is cynical, grotesque, and anti-human.

Lol all the horrible kids in that movie grew up to be Biden voters- if that isn't a scatching indictment of the Democratic voting block, I don't know what is.

Ya, I only ever met Canadians from Ontario, Newfoundland, and (rarely) Quebec. I guess the folks from Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan were too busy keeping the softies out while the local folks did God's work?

Ya, leadership in the Union used it to go after liberals they felt were gutting the nation. Since then it has been applied to insufferable liberals.

It's a common and dishonest rhetorical tactic where you just flood the opposition with so many questions that it becomes impossible to present a coherent answer or not stumble into bizarre traps as the one spamming nonsense just runs out the clock. There is only one way to reliably handle it- call them out on their bullshit in the most overt and harshest way possible (free of profanity in a professional/televised setting). It's even better if televised because they'll either clam up, end the interview, or get HYPER aggressive- either outcome is a disaster for the 'reporter'.

To be fair, most people could go end zone to end zone with Little Marco so that's not saying much lol.

My man, repping the oilfield! Said it on another post but I'll repeat it here- every first generation citizen I have met in the oilfield, save for Canadians, are absolutely diehard patriots. I've even seen Cali shitlibs from L.A. completely 180 their politics in that industry- something about pulling 80+ hour weeks for 2-3 weeks in a row with a week off and seeing the tax portion of your pay stubs doesn't sit well- not all of the '1%' are Wolf of Wallstreet jiving M-F 9-5ers.

Yeah, he is kind of persona non-grata on Arabic-language news networks and many Euro networks because of his views. There are some AMAZING clips of him on Memri and Al-Jezira where he unloads on hardliners and political Islamists.

Sounds like it's time to do a deep dive of % turnout in counties won by going, at least, as far back as 2008. Population shifts will naturally affect the #'s but proportions will shed some light on potential fuckery. I know this election is pretty fresh so the bean counters haven't done a full autopsy but all the hand waving explanations and refusal to post historical trends/numbers when pushed on bizarre data points in 2020 is... interesting.

What's happening is that Tawhidi is spitting fire. You should check him out- huge voice for reform within Islam and is pretty based. You know he's over the target when, as an Imam, the media screeches about Islamophobia and his love of far-right politics (and they're not referring to political Islam here, mind you).

Makes you wonder about the historical trends on % of ballots where only the Presidential candidate is marked. Guarantee you it's not 4%+ like it is in some areas this year.

Those moments when Lou's eyebrows wriggle about just scream 'listen you spineless little shit, do i have to reach through the screen and sock puppet you to find some semblance of the gelatinous yardstick you call a fucking backbone?!?!?!'
