Like many have said, I believe they waited until Trump voters came in to see how many Biden votes they needed to make up. The only problem? Trump did get a landslide victory and they forgot that making up enough ballots would create more "votes" than there are voters.
The left threw a fit about go after political rivals and he would have handed them an easy impeachment that may have resulted in a different outcome in the Senate. The left cried "dictator" immediately after the 2016 election. So, going after clinton would have made them seem credible.
