They did not quietly update the numbers. There have been umpteen posts pushing this. See here: https://thedonald.win/p/Gvd65mBo/the-cdc-did-not-quietly-update-t/
Edit: downvote me all you want if it hurts your feelings to see that we’ve been lied to longer than you realize. Look at my linked post. I provided screenshots from late June and early July.
Not trying to crap on this post, but this info has actually been out for a while so it wasn’t quietly updated. I know we as humans come across things at different times in our research. It’s been at 6% for at least a month and a half. I do remember seeing it at 7% before then but I’m not completely certain of the date for that so the overall percentage has gone down (color me shocked!)
Edit: Found my screenshots so I made a new post here:

Judge Hill is who, a couple of months ago, doubted the method outlined in this monstrosity:

He noted, “If you have one of the major symptoms, you have a cough or you have shortness of breath, and you live in Collin County, then you can satisfy the definition for a probable COVID case. But I’m very concerned that we absolutely could see the numbers jump very rapidly in a way that is actually not indicative of what we’re seeing here in the community in the Public Health Department.”
