Update: The precinct manager was wrong - we're not allowed to accept ballots at this voting location. Voters must go to a dropbox. The ACLU person is a lawyer who has been employed by the county, and his role is to invalidate absentee ballots in the voter system if one was requested but not yet received and if the voter wishes to instead vote here in person. He says he's not allowed to deal with absentee ballots brought in, which is good. I also got a call back from the Trump campaign fraud number. I left a vm last night letting them know what I heard. The Trump person said they're aware of the development, there's nothing they can do, and to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. He's being watched closely!
Update: in addition to calling and leaving vm's for the Team Trump election day hotline for GA and the GA GOP, I tweeted at Team Trump and also contacted a conservative media rep about this development. I'll also alert the Republican poll watchers who will be on site. Will follow up with what happens
Just left a vm with the GA GOP (thanks to another commenter for the contact info) and let them know what I was told and the location involved. I suggested that they come on-site to investigate.

No idea how the ACLU became the middle-man for absentee ballots, and how this is even legal. In our training class, we were told that voting precincts would absolutely not be dropoff locations for absentee ballots and we should refer any voters wishing to do so to the Fulton County elections office. But now at the 11th hour we're told that this is no longer the case and that the ACLU will be setting up a table at each voting site to deal with absentee ballots?? If anyone knows where to report this, please do so and/or let me know.
