We talk about term limits, and limiting power of IC, age caps, mental health caps, but none of that is really getting to the root of the problem, and that's how these crooked sumbitches keep screwing us over.

That should be a dead stop. Bills should NEVER be allowed to reach that size. No bill should ever be longer than can be read in a reasonable amount of time, out loud, on the floor, in it's entirety.
That still allows for some pretty lengthy wording, given that we have politicians that have been know to ramble for hours, and sometimes, if I'm not mistaken, an entire day. Maybe longer.
But it would prevent all those stupid ass "wishlist" porkulous "riders" from being attached to a bill that has nothing to do with the rider. Those riders would in turn need to be re- introduced as their own bill.
Think about how much shit gets through under bill titles like "Abortion" or "Protect gun rights", that has nothing to do with the parent bill. Local level all the way up to federal.
That's how our Social Security gets raided, sales of American business's and properties get sold to foreign governments, slush funds to pay off congressional prostitutes, and down right shitty, thoughtless legislation gets created.
We NEED smaller bills to be MANDATORY. Not to exceed the length of what ONE individual can read in a reasonable amount of time. (Less than a day).
