I know this isn't the same, but I took my daughter to the DMV yesterday to take her permit test. The line was ALL the way around the building. Luckily, I had a pass to get to the beginning of the line. I could tell the guy letting people in was overwhelmed. So, I said, "How are you doing today?". He just looked at me and said, "You know, you're the first person to ask me that in a very long time. Thank you for that!". Made me happy to know I gave him a little niceness in his life.
We’re in Palmdale/Lancaster. They’re EVERYWHERE!!! We watched the whole neighborhood light up with huge fireworks while floating around in our pool. Flashes of light reflecting off of the water. It was amazing!! It’s 11:21 right now and they’re still going off!
Manufacturers Representative for electronic component mfgs. We sell the stuff that helps build your computers 😉 Switches, breakers, thermal cooling, fan guards, power cords, keypads, touch screens, receptacles, motors, solenoids, light tubes, LEDs, indicators, etc....
Exciting, I know.
We weren’t really affected because a lot of our companies were considered essential.
LOVE IT!!!
I married a Spanish guy. I get mail in Spanish all the time because of my married name. I mail them back ‘Retun to Sender’ with a note stating I’m Polish, Scottish and Irish, and to stop profiling me because of my name.
My husband filed/received UI benefits. He works at a chrome wheel place. Most of the employees stayed away, but my guy went to work every day to help the boss keep the business up and running without receiving a paycheck. He felt guilty for recieiving money and not earning it. Thankfully, they received their PPP and regular schedules started last week. Although the extra money was nice, he's not one to take advantage.
Two employees did not show up when the business 'reopened', so they were let go (they were advised to attend a previous mandatory meeting laying out the procedures for reopening). If I understand correctly, they didn't show up, which means they quit, so no benefits.
Wouldn't it be safe to assume that the hospital has little to no experience in that kind of procedure? Why would you want a place to do a life altering operation on you if they're inexperienced?
