I live in Rapid City, just an hour from Mt Rushmore, and 30 mins from Sturgis. We have some woketards, but they are looked at as a minority in Rapid City. The 3 blue areas of SD are Pierre, and the 2 Indian reservations. Pine ridge is the nastiest Indian reservation in America, (look that shit up) and they banned alcohol, so we get plenty of nasty bums from there.
I've always liked living somewhere that gets cold every winter, because we have less bugs in the summer that way. When we have a warm winter, the mosquitoes are so bad the next year. My wife always wants to vacation somewhere warm, and usually humid, and it always feels like punishment for me.
I hope she won't divorce me when I refuse to move out of South Dakota after we retire!

Fuck yeah! I love living in South Dakota! I was eating in full restaurants in June, and my life has felt NORMAL for the most part. There are still goofballs walking around in face diapers at Walmart, but most of us put the diaper on at the door and take it off when we get inside. No concealed carry permits needed here either.
When the George Kirby riots happened, we had a few dozen dipshits marching in town, and there were a few dozen trucks circling the block with MAGA flags waiting for them to lay down in the road so they could flatten their stupid asses.
