Singer/Lead Guitarist is a former Democrat turned Baptist Conservative, and if you look up his interviews on religion and politics he has a lot of really great stuff to say. Surprised he’s flown under the radar around here for so long!
I agree with both of you guys. I remember back on reddit around 2015, I was mostly apolitical but was still pretty left-leaning. Everybody was freaking out about how terrible and racist and whatever ‘-ist’ the_donald was, which naturally led to me checking it out and finding it extremely humorous, which is honestly what got me started into actually learning about conservatism and conservative beliefs. This was during the whole RNC debates with “Please Clap” guac bowl Jeb❗️. I think humor is probably one of the best weapons we have against leftist ideology, because when you get down to it, these people are sadly pretty miserable - Leftism really forces you to be when your own belief system forces you to walk on egg shells 24/7 if you don’t want to be canceled, it’s really a race to the bottom in terms of how downright crazy and out-there you can get against normal, logical conservative beliefs and a normal way of life.
I’d love to move down South though after I graduate. Every time I go down there I absolutely love it, the people are so much nicer and the entire lifestyle just seems so much more appealing to me. People around me love to shit on the whole conservative, country, Southern lifestyle, but as somebody who grew up in leftist suburbia it just seems so much more appealing and real to me in comparison the curated, manufactured materialistic lifestyle people around me live. States like Texas and Florida feel so much more welcoming!
You really wouldn’t believe my experiences in college when I’ve gone to some meetings for Christian student organizations and realized how far left and religiously fanatical some of these people can be at the same time! I never even thought it was possible until I had somebody arguing with me about how Trump is the antichrist and Jesus would really want open borders! As somebody just now getting into Christianity (Like I said, I grew up and live in a very left leaning area!), do that many young people really go to Church? I’m personally into a more traditional kind of Church service in comparison to the mega-churches and whatnot that try to attract people from a younger audience, so I don’t know how successful I’d be meeting women my age somewhere like this.
Believe me, I’ve read into the whole MGTOW/Simp thing a ton! I honestly don’t buy into the whole idea that women are just looking to get something out of a guy and to not get married, but it was definitely eye opening for me, as somebody who had a ‘simpish’ mindset a few years ago and has really done their best to distance themselves from that mindset and better themselves!
My local Macy’s used to be very nice, shopped there a ton. The past few years their clothing section has changed to the most hoodrat/metrosexual selection possible. So disappointing considering what it used to be.
I recognize my opinion on abortion won’t be very popular around here, but as somebody who believes in small government first and foremost, that is why I have the opinion I have. Not saying at all that we should allow children to transition or anything completely degenerate like that!
