They're not quite using the word "federalism" in the proper context or meaning there. It might seem and sound counterintuitive but, at least as the founders considered it, it means that the states DO have their own powers separate from the federal government (which certainly does exist and has its own separate powers as well) but is not necessarily at the mercy of it. Basically, it means that the states retain individual rights on some matters while it is understood that the federal government has some others.

I'm glad and actually a little surprised that this is stickied but that's very good. We don't need to agree with President Trump 100% on every single thing and should be able to speak up in instances like this one where I would imagine the majority of us disagree with him. We'll still generally agree with him on 95% of most other things I would imagine and that's fine too.
