My father is extremely intelligent. He is a genetic scientist that prides himself on being logical and rational. He is buying into the rehtoric on TV that NY has handled the covid situation really well. I spent today exchanging emails with him, showing him the death rates per capita and information on the nursing homes disaster. He doesn't seem to be buying it and is still claiming that "we need to wait to see what happens because FL is not following the science." (whatever that means) It is breaking my heart that a man as smart as my father isn't using his logic and reason to see through the media's gaslighting bullshit.

Anyone else dealing with this shit?
