The early days of the net were fun. I made a Dragon Ball Z webpage and random people started emailing me their opinions about DBZ, which I hadn’t even expected would happen. But those days are long gone, now there’s people with great content and no followers...
I think that’s simplistic, short selling is used mainly to hedge positions and the number of people who can force a stock down after buying puts are vanishingly small. Even among those who can, there’s usually better ways to make money and if the pinch isn’t reflective of actual value, the stock will usually just go back up again because other people rightly view it as an opportunity to buy something that is undervalued. Also, people have been making fun of GameStop for decades, there was no conspiracy against a physical games retailer when games are all going digital.
Anyways, I think I’m done with this thing. We were promised a revolution and an end to corruption, what we got was betrayal and people teaming up with leftists to buy GameStop stock. It was fun to dream I guess.
Well, my respect for this site continues to decline. WSB has recently been trying to take advantage of each other by treating GameStop stock like a casino and they call that sticking it to the man when they’re really just setting their own up for getting stuck with the hot potato at some point in the future. What they’re doing shouldn’t (and eventually won’t be) legal.
This is sort of like how people on here were talking about revolution and posting up pictures of their guns for years, then as soon as some guys go and walk where they’re not supposed to they get called AntiFA by people on this site and shit, sent to prison and memory-holed.
The mods of this site just intend to let everyone who gets banned from Reddit set up shop or something? I mean, I guess what WSB are doing to each other and the economy is similar to what Trump supporters did to the people who actually went into the capitol building so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised.
And the power of friendship!
