We have rescued many many animals over the years and each one who crossed the Rainbow Bridge left us deeply saddened for a long time. We lost our 12 yr old Border Collie Dec 2019 and I’ll never fully recover from losing Skye. The closest to a human child I’ve ever known in a dogs body. We are grateful God created such loving and loyal creatures who fill our lives with such joy. I do believe we will one day be reunited with them and hope your heart is eased as the time passes and you’re able to love another precious dog who needs you.

My USN son met him several years ago when he was selected (random scheduling no doubt) to be his pilot when he visited Japan. Pence was super chill, very cool to all the crew members, gave everyone coins, took as much time as anyone wanted to find out about families and say how proud he was of all of them - an absolute Chad. The framed photo we have of him with our son is (was) one of our prized possessions. Sweet cashier boy at CVS seeing me breeze in smiling “... uh uh. Ma’am do you need a mask?” Me: “I don’t but thanks so much!” with big beaming smile as I kept on walking. Greeted everyone with a joyous smile and got my prescription and chatted happily with the clerk and waltzed back out. IME outgoing extremely friendly and smiling resistance has been relatively successful. That being said I was kicked out of a UPS store for violating the arbitrary distance rule of 4 people per STORE because it was raining and cold. I stepped in and huddled far away from the line but the cashier told me to leave so I took my business to a competitor. It was inconvenient to go across town but you either stand for something or you don’t. To quote Al Sharpton “resist we much”
