Yes I’m a physician who works in a suboxone clinic and I treat addicts for a portion of my job.
Iatrogenic addiction is a real problem. Drug companies in the 90s released study after study clamoring Vicodin and OxyContin had no risk of addiction and could be used to treat the new “fifth vital sign” of pain. Doctors began prescribing it secondary to pressure.
Blame the companies and their bunk research and not the doctors practicing with the information given to them.
People who got started on opioids by a doctor should be treated and weaned off of them by a doctor. People who got started on them on their own knew the risk.
lol we know exactly what’s in the vaccine. What on the ingredient list are you confused about? I’m a physician, I can maybe help.
It takes 5 doses of DTaP to get kids fully immune to tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.
I’m 100% against another yearly scheduled vaccine though, that just seems ridiculous to me.
No one forced them to try heroin.
absolutely. Iatrogenic addiction is an onus which falls on drug companies, I wouldn’t blame the doctors who only prescribed it based on lots of poor research showing their “low potential for addiction” and pressure from the new “fifth vital sign,” pain
