Why do people keep saying Washington monument on this site when she is talking about some other monument in Alabama. I mean, she is still calling for evil actions but why are people here purposefully getting it wrong? I am reading her directions and thinking that there is no way that would work on the Washington monument and then she says she is not talking about the Washington monument.
What actually happened is that he didn't vote in favor of taking the case. If they had taken the case it could easily have been months before it was heard and decided. Roberts often votes carefully to preserve respect for the court. If the court became disrespected, then half the country would feel free to ignore it. Nothing in the vote today was a court decision that set precedent. He is just saying that this case is not worth another divided court decision when it will probably be over before a decision would come out.
You might not agree with him, and you might prefer Alito or Gorsuch, but they're is no reason to disrespect him for trying to be careful when the court is constantly in danger of being ignored entirely.
Ok, I don't like it, but... They say that it was because OANN kept showing up when it was not their turn.
IF that is true, And IF the turns are given fairly, And IF no one else was breaking the rule, Then I would agree that they should have followed the rules and this might be fair.
With any ranking, it is much easier to get into the top 10% than to move up on that 10%. Just like it is much easier to become a top 10% earner than to climb into the 1%. First you had to beat the worst 90%, now you have to beat some of the best 10%.
That doesn't apply here. That is about retired military living on Okinawa. The reason why this post makes no sense, and just seems silly when it claims to come from a Marine JAG, is that he already has resigned his commission by retiring. Yes, if he were active duty and said what he said he would be in big trouble. But he is a retired military officer, i.e. Not a military officer.
