How can optimism increase with a "functional govt getting it out to end the pandemic" when that's exactly what we had a few months ago? The government we just had also are the ones responsible for even getting the vaccine so soon in the face of all of those that said it was impossible, whereas the current "government" continues the rate the previous admin dished out vaccines and admits they have no plan whatsoever for the virus. I really don't think it's optimism.

If looking at things from a simple traditional epic perspective... they were the good guys and won and we were the baddies and lost at the end. Most people seem to see things that way anyway. It truly is impossible to know at this point and I really hope it's more like what you'd say it is but frankly I've met too many people especially lately that are deep in the brainwash kool-aid and believe the media's perspective on things. And it's so many people... family members, co-workers, friends, all the people i used to know on social media and even the people i live with now. The disinformation is very strong.
