Are women expected to protect men from harm or trouble? Is the blame for everything placed on women, and then when anyone says anything we tell women to "WOMEN UP."
Whether men desire it or not, I actively defend men's rights. My husband was raised by a type A father who went from literal poverty/homelessness and alcholism to becoming a millionaire and employing hundreds of people. They are huge shoes to fill and I see his internal struggle of wanting to be the man his father was. Society also demands it of him. It is unwarranted and I actively argue against it online.
On the other hand, when men want to act like women and fight for the right to enter our bathrooms and sports, women are now expected to 'tolerate it'. This is also something I actively argue against.
But you think that there is blank slate equalism between the sexes and there is not.
I do not believe this and traditional feminism does not believe this either. There is a biological difference between men and women and each play a different role in our society. Traditional feminism only asks that women be considered worthy enough to have the opportunity to acquire property, vote, etc. That opportunity did not even exist once upon a time. It does not ask to be handed these things, only the opportunity to work to acquire them.
If women aren't submissive, then who is? The man. There is always one dominant and submissive in relationships. If you say, yea but me and my husband talk about things and come to an agreement. The woman is the dominant and the man is the submissive. That woman will be on the look out for a more dominant man.
People are less black and white and far more dynamic than that. Men do not always desire to be dominant and women do not always desire to be submissive. To expect someone to be one way or another constantly is unrealistic IMO. If someone chooses a partner and they do not live up their standards, then they chose the wrong partner. Maybe some women leave their partners for a more dominant man, but men have also been known to leave women who did not age the way they expected.
I chose someone that works very well for me and vice versa. We largely agree on most things. Rarely do we need to discuss things in length as we both usually come to the same conclusion. That's how you know you've chosen the right partner.
Men have the burden of performance, while women do not. Women's value is determined simply by existing.
Men do have the burden of performance but so do women. Aging women do not get the same societal treatment as aging men. There is a higher burden to take care of ones self for women than there is for men. Hollywood is an obvious example of this. A woman's value is determined by how attractive she is to men.
Women expect things to be handed things or if the game doesnt work in their favor, they want to change the rules to support their collective. They want to play in the world of men but not by the rules of men. They want to make it "fair" for them.
I don't believe this and the women in my life don't either. In fact, I've never met a woman that actually believes that statement. I'm not saying they don't exist, I just haven't seen them in my circle. Loud modern feminists might fight for this, but traditional feminists do not.
I work very hard for everything I have without expectation that things be changed to benefit me. My husband and I run 3 businesses and I do not rely on my husband to pay the bills solely for our family. He has his own business, I have mine and one business together. We do our equal share of the work. Neither of us have an extra burden of responsibility when it comes to our work and we each use our own individual talents to make money. We are both rather frugal so spending is not a point of contention. We both actively work towards a balance lifestyle that benefits both of us.
Honestly, how many women have died in war? Can women be drafted?
I will agree that more men die in war disproportionately. I'll admit it was a poor example. But it does highlight that there is a biological difference between men and women. This is where modern feminism falls away for me. Men are biologically stronger, (the reason they were chosen to fight in war) and have a tendency to take more risks (the reason why men's car insurance is higher).
Women play a different role in society but none the less important or risky. Women are disproportionately victims to sex and human trafficking and rape/sexual violence.
Woman also hold all of the physical and emotional burden/changes of having children. But, I don't think we need government intervention nor do we need to change the rules to accommodate the burden of wanting to have both a career and raise a family.
Without the responsibility?
What responsibility does a man have over a woman that is more important?
Is the woman's role in a family less important than a man's?
If you are talking about societal pressures, well there are certainly a fair share on either side. If you are talking about war, women die in war too. Voting affects a woman's quality of life just as much as a man's. Traditional feminism does not ask for privileges or authority. It asks for 'worthiness' in the eyes of men who hold the power to allow it. If you have an overly traditional view that women should be submissive and 'God>husband>wife', we might be at an impasse.
Traditional feminism was and is fine. But modern feminism takes it too far. It's morphed beyond 'worthiness' and into 'special privileges' and 'man-hating' and throws common sense out of the window.
Traditional feminism wants women to be able to vote and values the work women do at home to raise a family. It even dips into erasing stereotypes that women should only be homemakers, maids, secretaries or assistants.
Modern feminism is all of that and includes a strong desire to erase 'toxic masculinity' and 'the patriarchy'. Their thinking is a bit backwards in that they are willing to abort unborn women and want to bring in men who identify as women. These types of feminists are unhappy and will never live a fulfilling life.
There are many different iterations of feminism and they do not all include women fighting for the right to be men.
"My neighbors supported a man who showed near-murderous contempt for the majority of Americans."
What in the actual FUCK is this garbage? He hated media and other politicians, sure, but never AMERICANS. He fought for all of us.
This is vile.
I just don’t believe that the solution to biological men invading women’s sports is:
“Women shouldn’t be playing sports anyway!”
“Women shouldn’t be playing sports anyway!”
Why? We like to kick ball too, fren.
They are sooo close.
One hand up shaking wildly. Dumb grin on the face. It’s not a dance. That’s their virtue signal. Similar to the brown-noser from school that everyone hated.
I’m just going to say this once. So listen up!
YOU’RE NOT SPECIAL BECAUSE YOU ARE GAY.
The majority of Americans don’t care. You should not be awarded a participation trophy because of who you decided to have sex with.
The rapper you WANT your kids to listen to.
I think 'mentally challenged' is less offensive? I'm not sure. Can we get a troll to weigh in?
Dear lurking troll/shill: According to the left, what is the least offensive way to call someone a 'retard'? Is it 'dog faced pony soldier'?
This is to keep the hundreds of people who voted for him from noticing how he just caused them to lose their jobs and that any new job they might try to get will be taken by an amnesty alien.
On a secondary note: Can we troll the left by making their 'preferred terms' derogatory? It would be great if we could do this for every word they'd like us to use in place of another. It'd be funny seeing them try to come up with new 'non-offensive' phrases as we continue to make them offensive over and over again.
Distract, distract, distract. Do not look at the old man behind the curtain. Ignore what Joe is doing. Enrage and distract his followers and the normies with more Trump hate propaganda.
I think you mean 'Sex Workers'.
Don't forget Xiden's favorite :
🐶 faced 🐴 soldier
THIS RAISED MY BLOOD PRESSURE AND MADE ME YELL AT MY HUSBAND. He yelled back. We were yelling in agreement.
Oh yes, the guy that sat at Nancy Pelosi's desk = Domestic Terrorist
Susan Rosenberg, CONVICTED for being an active member of a group that BOMBED US GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS and was in possession of hundreds of pounds of explosives = Can we really call that 'domestic terrorism'?
YES. YOU CAN.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUU
election fraud denier
Sorry if I'm late to the game but this is beautiful. I'll be using this from now on whenever someone claims Joe Biden is a legitimate president.
"Ohhhh You must be one of those 'election fraud deniers'. If you can't be bothered to look at the facts, then I have nothing more to say."
Flag > Spam or misleading > Scams or fraud
No.
I don't know...
wait... mmm...
definitely no.
You sir, are NOT a patriot. No patriot would claim that the best president of our lifetime is a loser. DEPORT
It's not ok to claim that being overweight is healthy or to try to push that belief onto other people. These ideas are dangerous and should be countered.
However, not every overweight person believes they are healthy. They are not worthless and I don't believe in shaming them. Everyone endures different experiences in life and that sends them down paths where their health takes a back seat. There's no point in making their struggle worse by shaming them.
I think that distinction would be worth it for our community to take into consideration.
I like it. I’ve had it for about a month. Definitely the best pillows currently have. We’ll see how it holds up over time.
