What things have changed in that time period? ALOT. Medicine and hygine (except in California) have developed so much since then that its crazy. Not to mention the first wave of Spanish Flu targeting young healthy people which was unprecedented THEN the second wave hit older individuals....This is already hitting older individuals or people who are more prone to illness which is more common to what the regular flu does.
