I can't presume to speak for everyone, but recommend, book wise, Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. I think that is clearest artistic expression of skill and knowledge transcends cultural elitism put on page. In a way that is the "primordial text" of Andrew Brietbart's idea that politics is downstream from culture. Game wise? Any FromSoft games are pretty politics free and skill based.

Fox also has the most to gain out of this. In the Dem/big tech collusion world, Fox is too big to censor, but most other conservatives outlets are not. As others are cancelled/deplatformed/buried by search algos, viewers "coming back to the fold" is what they are looking for. US market is saturated, the easiest gain they can swing is from someone else getting cancelled. A couple of percent is pennies to us folks dealing with dollars and cents. But a couple of percent is multiple millions to the Fox exec team. Being the Disney-fied conservative brand was probably a market tested move.
Any fraud has an impact. Because fraud not investigated and punished reduces the trust everyone has in the system.
You can even think of this in the most crude, mundane way. Let's say you buy a bag of peanuts, a huge bag that contains several million that has been through some well defined QA system. Every time someone mixes in more that cannot proven they have been similar QA'ed you would question if the added peanuts are rotten? are there rat turds in there? Everyone has different sense of trust. What we can do is sensibly challenge why he is so ready to trust the MSM that reports based on anonymous sources? And if "tone and narrative" is so important, would the long persisting stories about the dead voting and ballot boxes coming in the middle of the night that precedes this election not warrant scrutiny? If he was in the army, perhaps he has also seen elections in other countries. Without positive ID to link the voter, how would anyone trust mass mailing of ballots? Without chain of custody, how could anyone trust ballot boxes wheel into the counting center at 5AM?
Yes, generally a libertarian attitude is good, and in general, the country still has a strong streak of it. But if there is no structure to protect the integrity of the system, all the new liberties he has gained will peak, and then decline when someone more ambition gains power, just because he as an individual will never have more time to defend every aspect of his life. No short term smugness can be worth that. Not to be stereotypical but weed legalization may end up being "peak freedom", followed by more and more taxes on the weed, and gasoline, and property...etc. If elections are easy to rig he might find the decline of his freedom comes quicker than the gain. He can't be on watch all the time, but a political organization more dedicated than him will always find the time and the ways to tax and gain more power. This also goes to any libertarians out there, your gains of liberty has to be watched, and trying to push new attempts to control you individual freedom beyond your lifetime is the real long term goal. And right now, Trump is not your enemy on this.
