This isn’t true. Russia was successfully invaded by the Mongol Golden Horde in 1238-1240 AD

This is going to inflame the crisis in Europe even further. Belarus is Russia’s most important ally in Europe. Good relations with Lukashenko and Belarus allow the Russians to quickly access the Baltic States, its Kaliningrad Oblast, or Poland in the event of war. Conversely, if Russia lost its influence in Belarus, NATO could quickly invade Russia through the Smolensk gate route and invade all the way to Moscow. This was route taken by the Poles in 1610, Napoleon in 1812, and the Germans during World War II. Russia views Belarus as absolutely critical to its military security. This is why the mainstream media has deliberately played up protests against Lukashenko in Minsk (to be fair Lukashenko is sometimes overly authoritarian).

None of those names are surprising in the slightest.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M1SL Apparently this is the new measure. In any case this money supply expansion is terrifying.

No, I just think the media narrative on Ukraine is totally BS.

I agree, but global leaders may try to counterpunch against Putin by expanding the war from a regional one into a global one. The same thing happened with World War 1. What should have been the Third Balkan War over legitimate grievances between Austria-Hungary and Serbia turned into a continental war within a month and a global one within a year.

They don’t need Manchin if they use their secret weapon: Lisa Murkowski.

I just made a post about this. Because of Alaska’s new election system Murkowski can win WITHOUT many Republican votes since there is no longer a party primary system in Alaska for Senate races! We are NOT out of the woods on booting her out of office yet.

No she’s not. Having listened and talked to her at length I think she is misguided, but she actually means well which is a rarity for a politician. I wouldn’t vote for her because I don’t think she’s bright enough, but she is sincere.

What also makes the situation so alarming is that it is taking place at the same time as attacks between Iran and Israel and an increasingly aggressive Chinese posture in Ladakh and the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait.
