Nope, it's not in the play book. But neither is burning people's businesses and homes, then being let go by a liberal prosecutor.

This is called "adapt and overcome"... and since they didn't do it to a good American Citizen.. I think it's just fine.

I think they like the Soybaru because it's a truck that doesn't have to be a truck. You see, if you drive a pickup truck that means you're a dumb hick... right? Where I come from it just means your an American Man. Like ol' Charlie Daniels said, God rest his soul:

I was raised on beans and cornbread

And I like my chicken fried

Yes, I drive a pickup truck

And I'm full of American pride

I keep a Bible on my table

I got a flag out on my lawn

And I don't believe in mindin'

No one's business but my own

And ain't it a shame? If you cut Austin and Houston out of Texas, it might be the most perfect place in the world. I'd sure like to know whether the mass exodus from California to Austin was a planned strategic move by the left to corrupt the center of the Conservative Universe.

With a rifle like this, you can't trust ammo that isn't a true black powder cowboy round. I only purchase from Buffalo Arms Company. I got 1k rounds and will order more once they have it in stock again.

It hangs on my rock mantle under a WWI prop made of the same type of wood. Even to this day it's a solid firearm. I'd trust it in a gunfight. In fact, should I ever have the opportunity to defend my land from a commie, I might rather use this rifle... just for the sake of irony and America Feels. It's a real joy to shoot and just feels epic. I wish I could share the experience.

This serial number is in the 13,000s. They made 28,000 in 1892, the first year of production, and more than 1million since. The caliber is .44-40 WCF (Winchester Center Fire). They're also called 'Cowboy Cartridges'. They were made as a combo rifle/pistol cartridge. Colt chambered their Frontier Six Shooter in the caliber. The -40 stands for 40 grains of black powder. It fires dirty and smoky, and much louder than modern ammo... but it's a real joy to fire. I like to set bolts up on a log and plink them off out to 100yrs. It's in perfect condition and very easy to clean and maintain. I baby it with Ballistol and lint free cloths. It hangs on my river rock mantle on a pair of horseshoes wrapped in rawhide.

The dealer knows I'm a disabled vet and I was looking for a vintage 92 as a family heirloom, so he gave it to me for less than the price of a new one. He had to know what it was worth, but he's a good man and a patriot. Best guess at value is anywhere from $18k-$100k. I paid just over $2k.

No, I won't be having it refinished or refurbished. Every little nick or blemish tells a story. Sometimes I like to sit and stare at the grain in the American Walnut while I have a glass of whiskey and think about where that rifle might have been. I hope that one day my great great grandson can do the same.

Make note:

  • Search was Robin Williams and Joe Biden
  • Top hit was Robin Williams making fun of Trump?!
  • 2nd hit was a voice generated crap news.. didn't even show the clip
  • 3rd hit was from a Bernie supporter.. and actually showed the joke
  • 4th hit was Washington Post and only showed his jokes against Conservatives
  • 5th hit was a billion dollar Biden campaign add

I’m sorry, if you were right, I’d agree with you.

  • Robin Williams

I thought so too. I should add that this happened during the Obama administration (when The Left thought the world was being reshaped in their image). I can't say if it has become any better because I've been doing work for a non-DOD company for a while now. My son is active duty in a 'relevant field' and he says everyone is getting much more serious about OPSEC.. which gives me hope. Let's hope that it extends past the military and OGAs into the labs. Go 45!

I see. I wish I could provide specific information for you, but that's of course not possible. You'll have to decide whether to disregard my post or not. I can tell you this though; I'm a disabled vet and a Christian who takes my responsibilities to my country, and my personal honor, very seriously. It would take a vile person to lie about something like this. It seems that you're calling me a vile person. If that's the case, the feeling becomes mutual. /end

I don't understand what you mean. Can you help? I simply conveyed what happened to me. Are you saying it was overly dramatic or that it's a lie?

Couldn't agree more! I am the Anti-Snowden.

I was doing some data related work at a laboratory which predominantly does DOD projects. There was a large pool of foreign IT workers on one floor of the building. As a contractor I had a cube near them. I was involved in intel while serving in the U.S. Military and knew some words from various languages, and my situational awareness stays pretty high. Some of the workers set off alarms for me, just because they were so nervous and shifty eyed. I overheard conversations where they were having conversations about military equipment and technologies that had nothing to do with software projects. I asked a Pakistani worker if I could use his system to test something. I found that he had open access to some very sensitive information such as biotech research and parts breakdowns for SEAL delivery vehicles and tanks. There was also a lot of info that could be damaging to the U.S. Government when viewed through liberal eyes. I put a USB drive in his system and loaded a harmless text file and took it home with me, to show that there were no opsec controls. I went to my company 'handler' and told her about the security breech.

The problem with these labs is that they are populated by academics.. most of the left leaning. They sniff at operational security because they don't think we have enemies, and they see DOD projects as necessary money makers that they have to rush through so they can do "real work" with environmental technologies. Obviously, this isn't the leadership, but a lot of the scientists and lab assistants.

So my 'handler' tells me the security breech isn't a big deal. That it's not kind to be suspicious of foreign workers, and to keep my mouth shut and take care of my data project if I want to get more contracts with the lab. I went over her head to the director of security.. I was told the same thing. I went to my local FBI field office expecting to induce a panic there.. they didn't really understand the importance of what I was telling them and blew me off. I went back the next day and filed another report.. same. On the third day of going to the FBI I insisted that they get me on the phone with an FBI tech person. That person understood.

I don't know what action they took or if the situation was resolved. The lab discontinued my contract and later the FBI wouldn't give me any information on the case. My gut tells me that there was a security audit that shook it up a bit, but they swept it under the rug because it's an important DOD lab.

(Bonus: I was there when the left tried to boycott Chik-Fil-A. I sat in a very long drivethrough line and bought 20 chicken sandwiches. I handed them out at the lab and told them 'happy Chik-Fil-A day'. Most of them didn't watch the news of course and didn't know what was going on. They were very happy about free chicken sandwiches, but not happy with me after they found out what was going on days later hahah.)

This! NRA may not be perfect, especially right now, but they've done a lot to preserve our 2nd Amendment rights. Can we have Charlton Heston back?

If I was going to abandon something great because it was flawed?... the Left would have run me out of America long ago.

Socialism leads to Communism, just as Democracy inevitably leads to Socialism. Regardless of where a civilization sits on this spectrum, the path ends at the same cliff we see repeatedly throughout history; the fall of the Roman Empire, the fall of the U.S.S.R., the impending fall of the European Union.. and they all began on the same uncertain path, Democracy.

Therefore, in their Divinely inspired wisdom, the founders of this Great Nation Under God unanimously formed a Republic in favor of "Law Rules" over "Mob Rules". The weak minded now want to alter our path by covertly rewriting our history while overtly corrupting our young and inspiring them to riot in our streets. They give our children flags which show a communist hand choking the timber rattler which represents our founding, and on it a bold proclamation of their intention; "We Will Tread On YOU!"

Can you hear the faint echo of warning from American Patriots passed? I hear them growing urgent. They're asking how long good men will remain silent. They're reciting the names of Colonial men who numbered only 1 in 10, who faced much greater odds. Men who refused to remain silent while the timid hung their heads in apathy beneath the tread of a tyrannical boot. They're asking whether the echo of their voices has finally faded. For 244 years we heard their echo. For how many years will this land lie silent with our shame if we let it fade?

Chonky! Gotcha. It is indeed heavy. I got a vintage WWII BAR strap (perfectly preserved and never used) to better carry this thing. An M4 it is not! The good news is that when you're taking the shot, gravity sure helps with stability hahah.

Perhaps I should follow the "rule of thumb" <strokes beard>
