Now wait just a minute! No, YOU WAIT. You know who you're talkin to? Buddy! Donald Trump. Eh, I mean, the president. I mean, I was the President. Or I will be! Before I was the Vice President! You're talkin to my wife. Where's she? Are you my wife? My SISTER, oh excuse me. I thought for a minute I said I married my wife. I'm not crazy! True story. Just the other day I sat down on a phone with a man who just the other day was on the phone with me and he said you know what, and I said yeah I been sayin it from the beginning that we must enact quote Pandemic Response Initiative Protocols as promollated as promgulted as promulgated by the CDC. Promol. Prom Date. That's why I'm the only one. Hell, they been sayin a lot of things about the... the things from the beginning. You bet.

When those ad agencies lecture us about #diversity, they clearly are not referring to diversity of thought.

Listen, Fat! I've been saying this from the beginning that there outta be a, you know, like I've said. Like I've always said. Pushups! If you're going to copy paste your own rants you have to copy original cats. Cats are important. They meow. We need that right meow. Here. Third things first, like I've always said, new material not copy cats. I'm not lazy YOU'RE lazy. Kids were our future so I made them, made many kids when I was Senator.

You need to get organized and protest this. Michigan relied on the Michigan Conservative Coalition and Michigan Freedom Fund to pull off the protest yesterday. If you know of a NY state equivalent organization, contact them. If you don't know of one, then contact the Michigan Conservative Coalition and Michigan Freedom Fund and ask them if they know of or have a network into NY State.

I will do the same for my state. We can't sit here and wait. Time to act.

It has served us so strikingly well these past few days. Notice how well prepared we were for this? We owe it to WHO.

The US pays WHO, which pays bullshit NGOs, which pay Democrats.... kinda like Planned Parenthood and the Kennedy Center.

Liberals will see this and refuse to even consider the civil liberty issues for fear of being associated with "smelly Wal-Mart people". Ego before everything.

You idiot!!!! You probably also pronounce the capital of Kentucky as "Lew-iss-ville".

(it's pronounced "FRAYNK-fert")

;)

... but... there is no one to block. That's the point of the protest. And they are also not allowed to physically congregate outside their vehicles.

If you ask me, this protest is a clever way to exploit the government's own rules against them.

I would protest against not being able to protest. Makes it more fun.

How did they manage to organize this? This is beautiful.

I said that being fully aware that Fleming had Bond's picture drawn. Fleming also gave Bond a physical description in the book. My point was not that Fleming had NO idea what Bond looked like, only that he was open to changing that original idea or description when he thought it added to the character.

You're also singling out only one trait of the British ethnicity, that being whiteness, and allowing it to extend outside the ethnicity to include other actors to play the part. Most Bond actors weren't technically ethnic British. If you look into what constitutes British as an ethnicity, then you're limited to very few people (like, maybe Christian Bale). But, if you apply British as a nationality, not as an ethnicity, which is how the role is historically cast (as in most actors are/were not ethnic British), then you open it up to non-white people because they are, like the previous actors, nationally British although not ethnically British.

You are trying to make an ethnic exception based on nationality, but when that exception includes non-white people, you revert away from your own exception to exclude non-white people because they are not ethnically British. You can't have it both ways.

("A black man can be British, but he's not British is he? He's a Black British Man." wtf lol what?)

I wasn't saying a non-English accent, unless it was Scottish. Any other accent would not be Bond.

As for Tomb Raider, maybe in 50 years from now, after TR has been played out in several endless stupid ways, back and forth, again and again, maybe it would actually be interesting to see the character as a dude. Balls and all.

"It's an ethnicity"??? The question of what is or what isn't British when it comes to Scotland get's muddied quickly.

Scotland was not ethnically British or Celtic for a long time. Then it was populated by Celtic Irish, who again, were not considered ethnically British at the time those Irish moved into Scotland. Then Scandinavians and Danes flooded Scotland... Then the English... Then the French... The English were not British, ethnically. And most ethnic Brits didn't go past Northumbria.

When it comes to Scotland, it's British by law, but not entirely, or strictly, by ethnicity.

I would also argue that anyone who's family has legally come to Britain, assimilated, and formed roots can claim being ethnically British.

By your own argument, Craig, an Englishman, is not "ethnically" British, as the Anglo Saxons were decidedly not Britons. Also, Lazenby was Australian. Brosnan was Irish... these are not ethnically British people.

You can be both female and/or black, and still be British.

Flemming was NOT clear on how he characterized Bond. He originally created Bond as an Englishman and resisted the casting of Connery because Connery was Scottish, not English. Connery's performance won Flemming over so much that Flemming wrote in the Scottish heritage of Bond and portrayed Bond as an outsider to the English culture that Bond was fighting for. This is where we get great moments where Bond harshly corrects those who call him an Englishman.

The idea of a British guy from India or with Indian ancestry plays into this characterization and theme. India has a contentious history yet strong bond (no pun intended) with England much like it does with Scotland. As you say, The British Empire connection is there. British Empire all the way.

The same could be done whether male or female (so long as the outsider element is no just because she's a girl. Needs to be because she is a person... who fits the Bond mold.)

Elba would have been great because he is a good actor and would play the roll like a badass, but we all know the producers just wanted a black guy. Boyega is a child and, again, happens to just be hollywoodreporter dot com's "POC" it guy for the moment. Saying Boyega could be the next Bond is about as click-baity as it gets.

Me too. Let's go off topic a bit.

I could give a shit if they want to make Bond a woman or a black bloke - so long as the character is true to being Bond, is a story about WHO the character is, and not WHAT the character is. Bond became an outsider Scotsman serving the Crown because he was effortlessly good at it, has a general disdain for ordinary life, and loves his country. An English guy from India or with an Indian ancestry could fit this and would be an interesting take on the proto-Bond. It wouldn't be casting an Indian actor because #woke, but it's an actual opportunity to explore the same character in a different way. The franchise has been around, like any legend, for a long time. It's time to get weird with it and change it up. You can always go back and revisit or remake it in its original form.

Ok, back to MAGA.
