After the industrial revolution, the theory of class struggle fell by the wayside, as the middle class grew wealthy and contented. Marxism didn’t take hold and thus they sought to either adjust their theory to adapt them to their societies, or export ‘true’ Marxism to undeveloped countries(Russia)
Fascism originally sought to institute the Marxist theory, (and thus the overthrow of the ‘capitalist’ order) from a ‘top down’ approach, through the negation of individual and corporate autonomy, subsumed into the organs of state power rather than the ‘bottom up’ approach of communism; the proletariat revolution, and resulting dictatorship and direct siezure of the ‘means of production’
NAZIsm took this one step further, with the incorporation of the new theory of evolution by Darwin, by substituting ‘race’ struggle, with that of ‘class’ struggle.
In the end Marxism/Fascism/Nazism have the same result; and the total domination of the totalitarian state on the individual and the elimination of freedom and private property
