If you made people ‘apply’ for the money, you increase the beurocracy, and the effort done by people to ‘prove’ their need comes straight out of the productive capacity of the economy, and you end up with a double whammy net negative

All that capital is stuck there. Italy wrote ‘panda bonds’ in yuan, last May, to roll over some of its debt, and ‘invest in infrastructure’. China immediately devalued its currency, and Italy was stuck bent over, holding the bag, getting fucking in the ass, totally beholden to China.

In what way is the Italy demographics matter? In what way does their healthcare system matter? Is Italy indebted? To whom? Why can’t they get out of their debt? Did they make a deal with China?(they did) In what ways are they beholden to China?
