All I'm seeing online now are negative parodies of these two from all the "woke" people.
This is the direct and proper result of calls to defund and intimidate law enforcement. Notice nothing was physically damaged so they turn to indirect attacks against their character.
Obviously the lady might need a little more training, but I'm sure stress was a big factor.
I guess some people are in for a real wake up call soon.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Again my biggest complaint with Kemp is not doing things county by county.
The Atlanta area (larger population) and Albany (tragic happenstance) are inflating the numbers.
Some counties in Georgia have under five cases. A few have just one. They're usually the less populated counties, but they shouldn't be locked down.
Hahah didn't think about that! That makes me about 33% of the deaths in Chatham.
I'm in Savannah and I've died five times.
Honk Honkler
It's easy for restaurants in Georgia to virtue signal with stunts like this because we are still under restricted capacity guidelines.
In some situations this means not being able to properly staff the business. I guarantee once restrictions are lifted the they'll get swept away with the tide.
Here in Savannah a lot of restaurants aren't opening out of a combination of fear and reduced capacity. Compared to the entire state though we are doing exceptionally well with cases, which is probably due to cancelling St Patrick's Day.
Chatham (Savannah) is the fifth largest county but is around number 20 on the cases/death list.
We did a good job and are way ahead of it...but nobody will stop to think about it. Most of the cases are from Atlanta (naturally due to population) and Albany (a very tragic fluke).
I'm not complaining!
Source? Just getting caught up.
Welcome!
I'm ready to get on with things.
I don't know about Albany being very liberal. This is the place that tried to ban Harry Potter for being satanic after all.
They do have a large African American population which prob votes very Democrat but most people I've met are loaded up on guns, camo, hunt, etc.
Then again that's all just anecdotal. At the very least it's surrounded by very rural counties where people get buckwild.
My sentiments exactly.
I think one silver lining from all of this nonsense is how we should be more responsible at all levels of government.
The governors want the fed to swoop in and rescue them but it's really not supposed to be that way. Georgia should have its own stockpile of medical equipment just like we maintain local armories/Nat Guard depots.
Industry died in Albany and everyone is just barely scraping by it seems. It's a pretty tragic area and always gets screwed by disaster (weather and now viruses).
What happened there with corona is just beyond unlucky and tragic. It was some traveller from Atlanta heading to a funeral at the end of February and spread it all around (they held two funerals, a fish fry, church events for this person or something). The person from Atlanta was diagnosed about a week later. It was basically all old people hanging out at church and allowed a foothold for the virus.
Pretty shit luck.
He's basically opening up the state to a "phase 1" level.
The order from the governor supersedes local law so it takes the ability to legally enforce anything locally away. Right now the restaurants etc in Savannah are essentially voluntarily staying closed, which is cool, power to the people.
Part of the reason for staying closed is general fear (could have been allayed by explaining that Ga is only wrecked in certain areas) and the guidelines are so restrictive it's really not worth opening up. Most restaurants are floating employees on a combination of unemployment and limited hours to help with takeout/to go.
It's the same debacle we had with opening the beaches. Kemp went out and opened up all the beaches without consulting local towns. That may work elsewhere on the coast but Tybee Island has one road in and out. They were trying to limit the amount of people showing up to the island and putting a strain on their resources. Even there police force had several people out of commission with covid exposure.
So really Kemp just sucks overall. I'm glad he opened up on one hand because for areas that aren't hit hard it may put us ahead of schedule with opening...but he is not considering what the people actually want locally.
Trust me, I want to open up asap. I own a bar though, so we are gonna have to jump through some hoops to get there because everyone is looking at the entire state.
I live in Georgia and I do not believe Kemp did the best job with this for one reason.
Not all of Georgia is suffering heavily from the virus. He could have opened it on a county basis, or at least allowed for counties to decided. Most of Georgia is fine, big Atlanta and Albany are still bad.
My girlfriend is from Albany and she's got a bit more perspective on how it's going down...and it's just not good.
On the other hand you have places like Savannah (where I live and filled with lefties) where we closed our huge St. Patrick's day festival and bars etc way before we had to...and it worked. I have no doubt Savannah would have been in a similar situation to New Orleans had we continued on with the parade and festival...we get people from all over the world.
Yet because we did this we have about 200 cases and 6 deaths. I feel like that early shuttering should allow us to open back up just as early.
Unfortunately everyone I know is reeeeeing about total Ga cases and how it's too soon when the state cases are disproportionately affected by Atlanta/Albany.

I really second the idea of a few dedicated sub forums.
Especially for gun day and topics like Fitton.
If you build it, they will come. This site is a perfect example.
Thank you for doing this.
Braaaaaaavoooooo
Tybee Island wanted their beaches closed since they are a small community with only one road going in.
They even wrote the governor to rescind the order and his response was basically "too bad".
Kemp really is blowing it with this one. But it was either him or a super socialist so...lesser of two evils!
High energy would read again A+++++++
