I was too young to consider that at the time and, I only had a public defender, now that I'm older the thought occurs to me how unfair that was to me. Here's how I see it. Politicians only speak one language, and it ain't English. They only speak in votes. You may think they don't care unless they win, but, they do, because votes matter. A vote FOR someone is always a vote against another. Politicians don't actually know these numbers, or care. They get fed this info from their staff. Well, Trump is like "I wanna know the numbers". He's a business guy....

Just to play devil's advocate, here. There is a chance that this sign is one of those fake signs people make to hold at airports, some of which are absolutely hilarious, like "Third time's a charm! Welcome home from rehab, mom!" I used to visit a website that had all kinds of them. Hilarious.
