Do you believe that subreddit stats for TD were accurate and not manipulated by reddit?
Right now we're letting the election play out, as we would rightfully receive backlash if we diverted attention elsewhere during this period. I know some people aren't happy with the timeframe, but there's been a lot of things to juggle.
Literally no one will give you backlash if you let users creates more ways to escape from Reddit, actually i think you are making it worse for people that want to discuss other content but can't because everything is being drowned by wall to wall election content and almost no one knows about the few other win communities that exist today.
Personally i think that waiting the elections out is a huge mistake, you should use the huge amount eyeballs you currently have on TD to promote your reddit alternative.
The elections will be over, but the culture war will not, we NEED a good reddit alternative to combat leftists now.
