But a new party is not the wave. Look at what happened in 1912. Taft (incumbent at the time) and Roosevelt, both Republicans, had a falling out. Roosevelt beat Taft in the primaries but he later withdrew. So Taft became the GOP nominee while Roosevelt went on to form his own party: the Progessives.
Come election day, most Republicans split for Roosevelt, but some still voted for Taft. What happened in the end? Woodrow Wilson, a pretty lackluster Democrat, won the election.
Or look at what happened in 1968. First, the Democrat party was severely split due to the Vietnam War. It's the primary reason LBJ didn't run for reelection. Then, George Wallace, a Democrat, created the American Independent Party which ran on pro-segregration, anti-ape, and other Deep South stuff.
In the end, George Wallace sweeped the Deep South, Humphrey won the northeast and Nixon won the election.
Anytime there is a split in a party, the opposing party will always benefit. Even if Trump tried to form his own party, he would have to jump through so many hurdles to get on ballots and the system would intentionally try to fuck him over so he never gets on the ballots. It'd be disastrous.
But for the sake of argument, maybe Trump does get on the ballot. Then what? It's 1912 all over again and Kamala Harris, a vapid and unlikable cunt who had to drop out of the primaries, wins re-election.
As it stands, Trump and his team would fair much better by fighting for control over the GOP and the way I see it, I think he is more than capable of doing it. He's got the resources and has a major advantage: he has the support/base. The Tea Party got killed because of the latter.
And think about it. Who do you think the average Republican is more loyal to? Dipshits like McConnell and Tim Scott who pull retarded stunts like not objecting and voting for impeachment OR Donald motherfucking Trump aka the most popular Republican in history.
And for what it's worth, on Bannon's War Room, Steve Cortes, a guy from Trump's campaign, said they're working on vetting some America First candidates to primary these dipshits in 2022. So, all we have to is vote for them once primaries come around.
