The embryo is ABSOLUTELY a human individual. They possess all of the chromosomes that make it a single unique person, right from the moment of conception. If one were to do a DNA test you would learn hair color, eye color, all the stuff you would learn from 23&Me because that’s a full human there, despite the developmental stage. At what point can you draw the line? Newborn babies aren’t “finished” either, nor are toddlers, or even children with baby teeth, but society has always recognized their membership as human beings.
As for “splitting into several different people”...In the rare event of an embryonic split you get Identical twins or triplets. So not exactly several different people. Fraternal twins or triplets happen when the mother produces more than one egg during a cycle and they all get fertilized. Then you have unique DNA for each.

You want to dismiss most kids’ YouTube aspirations as just fucking around, but then I think about Rush, and how everyone in his family thought he was a goofball wasting time just walking around talking into his Mr Microphone all day long.
