My comments were made based off local reporting that cited the driver's own statements along with local law enforcement statements regarding the case.
This kid never fired a shot. The five initial gunshots were the driver taking him out. The second three shots were fired by a person in the crowd, very likely at the driver speeding away. There is no question the driver was in the right but it's still sad that this kid was obviously a weak person manipulated into fighting for an agenda that views him as a completely disposable useful idiot.
