Do they still have the death ticker on CNN?

My 14 year old daughter was bored on a snow day from school a couple years ago and went through the online practice exam with me for a few hours and passed her technician class exam about a week later. It's that easy. Most people need a little help setting up a good station at first and learning how to operate/program equipment. There is usually hams in your area that would be happy to help with that.

Start out with a simple CB base station with a good antenna. You can reach a pretty decent distance with inexpensive equipment. If you dig the radio thing you can progress from there.
