Either all is lost, or there's hope.
If you believe all is lost, then the only correct response is to live each remaining day like it could be your last.
If you believe there's hope, then be thinking of what you can do to make a difference.
Either way, feeling down doesn't help you or anyone else. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in there, fren.

Legend has it that there is an old Chinese curse that goes something like, “May you live in interesting times.” I hate to say it, but I think they got us. The current state of our country is more interesting than most of us would prefer. Our adversaries and rivals are no doubt gloating.
They’re making a mistake.
The insidious, malignant, and utterly foolish ideology of leftism has established a foothold in this country. Yes, they have infiltrated board rooms and news rooms, universities and government agencies. Yes, they are clamping down on online communities, prohibiting any discourse that challenges their demented worldview. Yes, they have lured in many of our fellow citizens by appealing to the worst parts of human nature, with promises that they may indulge in violence and cruelty without consequence.
Do not lose heart. Do not lose heart. They must not win. If you stand, they will not win.
The United States of America are exceptional. This idea has been criticized and ridiculed by the left ad nauseam. It is a dangerous idea - a direct threat to the left’s desire to burn down everything that we and our forefathers have built. We are the City upon a Hill. We have given more hope, more progress, more prosperity to the world in just over two hundred years than any other civilization has over the course of human civilization. We are a living refutation of the left’s absurd utopian delusions. Their past attempts at realizing their impossible, misguided dreams of a perfect society have all led to genocide, starvation, corruption, and cultural self-immolation.
But our dreams? We dream of liberty and justice for all. We dream of peace, prosperity, and a relentless climb upwards towards bigger and better things. We are, and always have been, a nation of heroes. We defeated the Axis and walked on the moon. We invented the airplane and the internet. We illuminated the world with electricity. We make sacrifices, take chances, and fight against evil and tyranny so that we can chart our own path. And in doing so, we elevate the rest of the world, and we create a brighter future for the generations ahead.
How dare the left try to tear it all down? Their actions are a slap in the face to all of the patriots who have taken up arms in defenses of our nation, all of the parents who have worked long hours to provide for their children, and all of the public servants who have dedicated their lives to truly helping their fellow Americans. Our history and our culture are our strength. They teach us that imperfect people can do good, that good people can still be fallible. That all of us are capable of greatness, regardless of wealth or skin color. And this is why the left hates us. Why they cannot allow themselves to listen to us. We prove that their anger, hate, and violence are wrong, in every sense of the word.
Even though they are utter fools, they are not stupid. And even though they are outnumbered, they exert disproportionate influence. If we do not fight them, they will grind our history, our culture, and our futures into dust. We must not let them. We must fight.
YOU must fight. You MUST fight.
Fight their lies. Counter-protest. Fly the Stars and Stripes in your yard. Spread truth on social media. Clean up your city. Talk to your family, friends, and neighbors. Light a fire in their hearts - the same fire that I pray to God I have lit in yours. And most importantly, vote.
Be safe. Be clever. Be vigilant. Do not wait for someone else to be a hero. Be one yourself.
