It sure is a good day on the Donald compared to that nasty snow storm we have had here in the Midwest. I hope you guys are all doing ok. It's always nice to see my fellow patriots on here. You guys make my day!
I know election reform, and a whole lot of other issues are probably more important, but I'm a 3rd semester nursing student and I want to know what your opinions are on healthcare reform. No, I'm not judging you. I want to know what you guys think.
For me personally, I think it should be goal specific. Like reducing obesity rates, cancer rates, having better access to mental health care services, etc. I would NEVER agree to use my position as a health care professional to take away someone's guns if they haven't committed a crime. (I find red flag laws discriminatory) I can't do that.
I think it's wrong ethically. I also don't think that mask mandates (with the lone exception of nursing homes because the total amount of Deaths from Covid-19 in my state come from over 60% in nursing homes alone) should be an excuse to curb civil rights.
So what say you? What do you think should be done about our healthcare system? Do you guys have ideas? Do you have any ideas on how to reduce opioid abuse? Like I said. I'm not here to judge. I want to know what you all think.
