In all fairness, having Jerusalem Post talk about this is like having CNN talk about Trump, let's face it, can't be trusted when discussing Arab states. Not that they are auto right or auto wrong, just take it with a grain of salt. I would disregard that article until we hear more solid evidence.
You did the absolute right thing. Losing 6 years of your life sucks, but you could've lost a lot more years for staying married to that man and that's not a life worth living. Hopefully you can make it back to the states and become a citizen we need.
