That's 100% true. I did 8 years, got out in the midst of Obama's bullshit. You are 100% better off using the GI Bill to get the education to get into a powerhouse career than sitting out 20 years just so your body is fucked, you're too old to get into a new career and you're making 50% of your enlisted man's pay for the rest of your life. Retirement ain't worth it compared to getting out and using the benefits while you're young, not with the bullshit the military will put you through.
My evil MIC megacorporation hired one on a few months ago amidst all of this insanity with covid. Like you pieces of shit can't even give us raises, people are getting laid off left and right, but you have money to drop on a fucking chief diversity officer who's going to be getting paid well into 6 figures?
I worry a lot about the military going forward with the insane demasculinization of society being led by jaded as fuck radical feminazis. I worry the military is going to find itself short as fuck on men willing to put their lives down for this country. Not just because the left is shitting on any chance of unity and patriotism we have left, but because there won't be enough tough men coming out of high school who are man enough to stick their necks out there for the stars and stripes.
That shit's nothing but a general sucking up to the CinC to try and get promoted. The sorry ass state of the left in this country is leeching into the military command structure as well. Shit reminds me of the Obama years, fucking SHARP training out the ass and false sexual assault allegations.
That's a good point. The more it becomes en vogue to hate the cops the fewer normal citizens are going to aspire to that field. I see what you're saying 100%, because all that would be leftover are the hardasses that crave the badge for authority.
That's my stance on it, really. I'm not a climatologist but I'm an engineer that's skeptical of the prediction power of models attempting to guess the most complex systems on the planet.
It's obvious the years are trending warmer, I'll even say we have something to do with it, but I don't believe the doomsday bullshit saying we're all going to fucking die in X number of decades if we don't scrap all of our cars for electric scooters, paint the land in inefficient windmills and solar panels and pretend the rest of the world is going to start giving a fuck.
With less scrutiny on this site due to the bulk of the political drama being considered "over" I'm not entirely surprised if the mods are trying to catch their breath. Just keep deporting shit that breaks the rules.
I do agree that if there is a time for a new party, it's now. I also understand that it will lose us seats and elections for a while.
I think the point you're making is that a split right makes for a powerful left. It's not just giving the left elections and seats for a few years, it's enabling them to put even more fringe-leftists in power. If the right is fragmented, they could run AOC as president in '28 or something fucking nuts - and win.
We must choose carefully.
Good to see Colorado up there. Once you get outside of Denver and Boulder the people aren't a bunch of soy-infused granola pussies.
