I agree with the sentiment. The local community should be able to use its common sense to block what they believe is intentional disrespect to the victims of the worst radical Islamic terror attack in US history.
That being said, I hope no one expects the federal government to dictate where religious structures can be built. Not even sure if that’s being argued, but it seems like a fine line between a community using common sense, and handing rights to the federal government to force common sense upon us.
