The only mistake Trump made was trying to reform Washington DC to make it actually function for the benefit of the American taxpayers.
The government is dysfunctional inefficient and corrupt because that's how all the politicians beaurocracy lobbyists special interest groups etc ...want to to work like.
At this point you'll have to burn it all down and start from the founding documents to get it functional again.

I guess you could afford to do that if you owned the land free and clear and lived off your cash reserves. But then what?
If you are from farming stock you would know this. Farmers are very good at future planning and low cash flow.
I agree with you initial impulse....but you have to plan longterm.
We the people currently live under the illusion of personal freedom.
We work, pay our taxes, bills, mortgages, etc.
Trump allowed you to keep more of your own money for the last 4 years and we got to breath easier...but the heavy yoke of government will return under Biden.
All we can do is try to emulate John Galt however we can. Don't support financially our overlords.

Like any producer...farmer's have fixed costs.
The majority of farmer's have mortgages and loans for their equipment...those don't go away. And as for cash reserves...farming was never a cash flush business.
Democrats have their sanctuary cities....why can't Red States have Constitutional sanctuary states.
Where all unconstitutional federal government EOs and laws are ignored...and actively litigated against.
