From the Reddit Thread (a sub-topic) on White Lady With a Gun Threatening Black Lady
Facts and statistics don't back BLM up on Police Brutality which is what its about. Per crime committed, black people are less likely to be shot than white people. People like to use per capita to paint an inaccurate picture. Per capita doesnt matter, it should be based on the crime rates and who commits what crimes. When you look at it from this standpoint, the entire BLM movement falls apart.
Men are also far more likely to be a violent criminal than women, so we can eliminate roughly half of the black population right off the bat. Now we have 7-8% of the population committing 40-50% of the street crime (Ill touch on street crime vs white collar crime in a moment). But wait, lets rule out children under say 14 and seniors. Now we have probably 4% or less of the population committing a minimum of 40% of the crime. This is absolutely insane. What is causing this? Im going to touch on enforcement too, but in short its not an issue with over-enforcement with blacks or in 'black neighborhoods'. Statistics just don't agree with the common assertion that police target blacks more than whites. (Second link down talks about this) It should also be noted than none of the links Im going to provide are from right leaning or far right sources.

This is also a very good article based on government statistics.

Important here is that it also talks about types of crime. Street crime is easily prosecuted and caught; there are victims and witnesses in a lot of cases. (also noteworthy: black arrest rates coincide with the number of crimes where a black person was identified as the subject by witnesses, suggesting that no racial bias exists in arrest rates alone)
Whites commit much more white collar crimes, which is not surprising given that this is a white majority country and whites are typically in charge of corporations. White collar crimes often have no witnesses, and no victims that were directly affected. Shareholders and investors yes - but embezzlement is a lot harder to catch than robbery at gunpoint. It can be hidden and its not a face to face crime. This is an important distinction to consider. Also understand that by no means am I saying white collar crimes are the only crimes whites commit. It is, however, an important piece to this jigsaw puzzle.
Now there were problems with mandatory minimum sentencing and certain drug laws disproportionately affecting minorities. Fortunately, a bill spurred by the 'Bad Orange Man' actually started judicial reform.
Now, we all make our own choices in life. No one forced people to do things that carried harsh sentences. I personally know a white dude that got sent to a DOC over some weed. He was the most nonviolent, non threatening nerd of a man. We played Magic The Gathering together for fucks sake. He went to prison over pot. That's fucked up no matter what color you are. However, it was ultimately his choice to get caught multiple times for the same crime. These were personal choices people made while fully aware of the consequences. No one forced them to do anything.
Im even going to use the NAACP website for some raw numbers:
https://www.naacp.org/criminal-justice-fact-sheet/
With the data establishing that arrest rates generally coincide with crimes where witnesses or footage identified the subjects as black, we cant say that law enforcement is specifically targeting blacks. There is simply no data to back that claim up.
So what is causing this phenomenon?
Im going to get anectdotal.
I grew up in the projects. Yeah Im a white dude. I grew up in the projects in the 80s and the 90s. When I say projects I mean I was the only white kid on the bus one year.
I'm here to tell you that this environment is what causes the phenomenon. Its a culture of drugs, violence and irresponsibility. Those that try to succeed are often ridiculed and targeted just for trying to escape - for trying to better themselves. White people that grow up in this environment often do the very same things - its not just based on skin color. You are a product of your environment. Peer pressure, especially when young, can lead you down the wrong path very easily.
How do we solve this problem? Integration did nothing to help. My presence in a school all the way across the city did nothing to help the people that lived there. There simply was no tangible benefit to the people in that local area.
I would propose that if you truly want change, you have to 'dismantle the projects'. Dont integrate in, integrate out. Stop building apartment blocks and packing them with Section 8 renters. Start building modest houses everywhere, not just in impoverished neighborhoods, and change the environment. Stop creating pockets of poverty and crime. Stop holding it against the people that need help when their kid gets a job at the age of 16. Yeah they used to dock moms welfare check because I got a job and I wound up having to take the money I made to help since they would reduce her income and we needed every penny.
There are indeed problems with society that lead to these statistics, but they arent where everyone is looking. The actual problems are a lot more complicated and deep than 'Police Bad'.

So the last minute or so of video...
At the end of it, the big gal is holding the lone American Hero back from hurting the crowd. Shes not holding the crowd back from him. Shes holding HIM back from THEM.
Look at the fear and uncertainty as a number of them advance..unsure of what to do when they get there. Dude pops about 5 of them in the face and they all go out of the fight with one hit.
Bonus highlight: girl with the stick cracks him on the head and she gets her equal right.
Had a LONG talk with one of my employees today. Shes a Navy Veteran and good friend too. She brought up all this madness after a short COVID talk. We very much think alike on all subjects 2020. I told her about this site and how she could get better news here and enjoy some spicy memes. She came right here on her phone while we were standing out back. Hopefully she made an account - she was already on the Trump Train but this will be a great outlet for her if she chooses to participate, and if she chooses to just lurk (which seems more her style) she will still get the best the internet has to offer.
Debunking Face Masks
First of all, if youre wearing the mask because youre afraid of airborne Coronavirus, you may as well put up a chain link fence to stop mosquitoes. The Virus itself is small enough to fit through even an N95 mask.
You may stop your own droplets from contaminating surfaces with a surgical or cloth mask, but youre not protecting yourself from anything unless people sneeze directly in your mouth often. Cloth and surgical masks MAY help reduce transmission IF youre sick but they are not guaranteed to do so. If youre worried about other people wearing masks, how about you just wash and/or sanitize your hands instead of demanding everyone around you also wear a mask?
N95 masks do the opposite of cloth and surgical masks. They filter incoming air but do zero to filter outgoing air. In this case you're 'protecting' yourself but no one else - and the COVID-19 virus is small enough to fit through the filter in an N95 mask.
Experts are conflicted as to whether or not masks even do anything to slow/stop transmission of influenza-like illnesses.
A little piece of logic asks this: Influenza kills more people annually than COVID19 has thus far, so why haven't we been wearing masks all these years during flu season?
How do the different types of masks work?
Surgical masks Also called a medical mask, a surgical mask is a loose-fitting disposable mask that protects the wearer's nose and mouth from contact with droplets, splashes and sprays that may contain germs. A surgical mask also filters out large particles in the air. Surgical masks may protect others by reducing exposure to the saliva and respiratory secretions of the mask wearer.
At this time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved any type of surgical mask specifically for protection against the coronavirus, but these masks may provide some protection when N95 masks are not available.
N95 masks Actually a type of respirator, an N95 mask offers more protection than a surgical mask does because it can filter out both large and small particles when the wearer inhales. As the name indicates, the mask is designed to block 95% of very small particles. Some N95 masks have valves that make them easier to breathe through. With this type of mask, unfiltered air is released when the wearer exhales.
Health care providers must be trained and pass a fit test to confirm a proper seal before using an N95 respirator in the workplace. Like surgical masks, N95 masks are intended to be disposable. However, researchers are testing ways to disinfect N95 masks so they can be reused.
Some N95 masks, and even some cloth masks, have one-way valves that make them easier to breathe through. But because the valve releases unfiltered air when the wearer breathes out, this type of mask doesn't prevent the wearer from spreading the virus. For this reason, some places have banned them.
Study #1
One study looked at 1,607 medical care workers and found that cloth masks lead to higher respiratory infection rates. “The rate of influenza-like illness is statistically significantly higher” with cloth masks they concluded. Disturbingly, COVID-19 is an influenza-like virus which attacks the respiratory system, so it’s possible cloth mask wearers may have a higher rate of contracting COVID-19. They speculate that, “Moisture retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may result in increased risk of infection.”

Study #2
We analysed 14 randomized trials of mask wearing and infection for influenza-like illnesses. (There are no randomized trials involving COVID-19 itself, so the best we can do is look at similar diseases.)
When we combined the results of these trials that studied the effect of masks versus no masks in health-care workers and the general population, they did not show that wearing masks leads to any substantial reduction of influenza-like illness. However, the studies were too small to rule out a minor effect for masks.

Bottom line is, if you're afraid of being infected by someone NOT wearing a mask, keep yours on JUST IN CASE airborne particles could land on your face, and wash/sanitize your hands before putting your fingers in your eyes nose or mouth.
Seriously?
This guy was live streaming himself shooting at random people AND the police all evening. He was spotted and a motor vehicle chase ensued. He then bailed, shooting at the police while he fled.
He was shot in the back and killed while fleeing the scene. Justified 100% IMO.
As I’ve been saying through all of this: ya gotta pick your battles better people.
I’m just not going to take these protests seriously in a ‘hurr durr cops are bad’ sense if you’re just going to defend criminals.
You wanna protest Tamir Rice and John Crawford and Breonna Taylor, fine. I’m down with that. You wanna protest for people caught committing crimes and then resisting arrest - and THEN up the ante and defend a guy literally shooting at the cops? Nah, you can get fuct.
Sorry if there are typos, I’m navigating from the passenger seat while we hurtle down the highway to enjoy our white privilege vacation. I did take the violent protests seriously enough to bring a couple rifles, plenty of ammo and my EDC with 4 mags FWIW.
Passed in 2018.
Key points:
-
Circumventing minimum sentencing requirements.
-
Providing training and education to provide better opportunities when released back into society.
Mandatory Minimum Sentencing was introduced in 1994 and was intended to create punishments so harsh that the mere threat of being caught would deter criminal activity in some areas.
Unfortunately, criminals aren't always that smart and certainly don't plan to get caught. Less was done to deter crime than thought, and instead prison populations exploded. Specific crimes in impoverished areas were also targeted, leading to another problem: fatherless homes.
Now nothing says the types of people that committed those crimes would also be the types of people to be stable father figures, so its more of a guess than a fact. However, it did completely remove the possibility of some fathers being present in the home. These were 'unintended consequences'.
The 1994 bill essentially dangled more money in front of the states to incarcerate more people for a longer time. States passed three strike laws, enacted mandatory minimums, eliminated parole in some cases, and took away the judge's power to exercise their own discretion in cases.
These laws disproportionately affected impoverished communities, which were naturally policed more intensely than areas with lower crime rates, such as the Suburbs.
The First Step Act is part of Criminal Justice Reform under President Donald Trump. It allows for judges to use new laws to circumvent the old laws in exercising their discretion to hand down lighter sentences.
