McConnell guaranteed I am never giving the Republicans money or votes again. I don't care how conservative they say someone is, unless they like Trump and Trumpism as much as I do they will never get any support.

edit: also his call to continue investigating Trump is a dangerous game. Because that means it is open season on any former Presidents. (hello Obama & Bill and eventually Biden...if he lives that long) and then former Senators then congressmen. And that is the way countries turn into dictatorships.

This will probably resolve with Gamestop selling new shares directly to the hedge fund after massive pressure from institutional investors and the government.

It will be good for Gamestop as they get a huge cash infusion. It will be bad for the hedge fund but they will get out of this at lower than current market value.

The people who bought higher than what ever value Gamestop sells these new shares at will feel a bite but I think that is an expected part of this game.

I'd love to invest but my wife's job makes that impossible as she needs corporate approval to invest and you know that is not happening.

Right. But that is just texting. Unless those people also didn't normally vote then their vote was not suppressed.

And even if they did not vote normally if it can be shown that they could not or would not have voted then their vote was not suppressed.

The government does not actually identify any PERSONS who were suppressed but makes the assumption of suppression from phone numbers. Nowhere in the full indictment do they have a person who says "I did not vote because of this." Having people who can say that is an important criteria in suppression cases.

So looking at the entire indictment it appears that they don't actually have any proof that anyone failed to vote as a result of this meme.

I expect any reasonably competent attorney will be able to shoot this down fairly quickly because lacking a victim for vote suppression makes it impossible to convict.

As far as I am concerned the entire Republican party is compromised. I saw them crush the Tea Party about 10 years ago and then pretend they believed the stuff the Tea Party supported. Then do nothing or actively work against it.

Sure there might be good people but the entire edifice must come down because that is what gives them power.

It is a shame because the country will suffer while we try to rebuild a new political brand. It will result in the Dems winning because we will split votes on the right with the Republicans.

But sometimes you need to burn things down to build something better in its place.

I've voted Republican for 20+ years. Never again. They have never tried to support the more conservative wing of the party and have actively worked against it to defeat us every time we were close to victory.

No more money. No more supporting their people and politicians online. No more votes.

It will suck in the short term but perhaps we can get things right in the long term.

It is a shame we will need to destroy the Republican party in order to try to save the country.

We will need to cause them to lose elections across the board as we vote third party or Patriot Party.

Eventually they will say they believe in our positions but it will all be lies just like with the Tea Party. They shut them down and then pretended to believe in their positions as long as it was convenient. They never actually did anything nor took a strong stand. They mouthed the words and believed none of them.

The country will suffer too. To build a new stronger party means that probably for the next decade or more the democrats will just win over and over again. It might have a beneficial side effect of the Democrats being able to tone things down because when you are winning you don't need to placate every nutty part of your party.

To be fair the UK police were militarized when the fucking Irish were setting off bombs left and right.

They probably took advantage of corona losses to announce other losses & write downs they have been putting off.

I want a huge fuckin' blow out so that liberals will be forced to sit back and reevaluate their lives.

They might follow the Liberal party in the UK and take exactly the wrong message, go even harder left, get totally owned in a series of elections, and then finally realize they came to the wrong conclusion.

Not just a record but the fastest ever growth since records began in 1947.

And it is something like double the previous record.

Pretty much anyone with a show like that has an earpiece that let producers talk to them while the show is on.

Helps them to keep the host on track, tell them about any issues, and let them know if they are getting into dangerous territory (libel/slander, breaking other laws).

The pageant required all trans entries to be post transition (i.e. sans penis). This dude still has a penis so could not enter.

If you need to send money digitally use Zelle via your bank. It all stays private and there is no forced social media portion.

If two terms was enough for George Washington then it is enough for Trump.

I get why he's saying this but there are better counter examples to make his point.

"Lets expand the number of members in the House of Representatives. You could literally triple the number of Representatives or quintuple it. It has only been fixed since 1911."

That this corrupt and mentally crippled old man is has even a tiny chance of being president is a complete indictment of the Democratic party, the press, and every idiot who votes for him.

At this point it is Graham or some POS Dem. At least Lindsey is on our side most of the time.

I'm a candy Communist. First 24 hours its all theirs. Then I seize power as a democratic socialist and dump it into one communal bowl in the kitchen.

Unless the agreement has an enforcement clause they could sue but would probably not actually get any damages.

The agreement is likely something along the lines of you agree not to air anything before we do. A sort of gentleman's agreement but since jounalists are now acting as communist/iranian proxies it is not necessary to treat them gently.
