Do not make this about anyone but yourself. You got this. Tell him he should process this situation in his own way, as will you, without either of you hurling personal attacks. That does not mean you cannot be passionate and active, but do not concern yourself too much about his blasé reaction. That is how some people react to tense situations. Having his support would be better, but having one being calm and the other being passionate is actually a nice yin yang combination to keep each other in check. When we win, don't gloat!
