So my understanding is the hedge fund has to payout the difference for the stocks they borrowed. Their loan was called while the stocks were a lot higher than anyone thought they'd reach. Now, we have inflated stock that either has to crash on it's own or a coordinated effort has to be made to migrate the wealth slowly into other avenues. With coordinated efforts there has to be some way to keep the money the hedge funds payout circulating the lower class companies. Then they'll just have to keep cheating out in the open or turn the money machine on an even higher setting and tax us into the grave to pay it out.
