To clarify, vaccines do not stop you from contracting diseases. They help your body to fight off diseases.
For example, we vaccinate kids for chickenpox. They can still catch chickenpox, but it's far less life-threatening.
I'm sorry, but this is incredibly frustrating for me to read, and the journalist did very little research. Even after recieving a vaccine, if you contract the disease you were vaccinated against, you still test positive for the disease.
Vaccines just help you fight off the disease more effectively.
Did you miss the part where I said they smashed their desk and computer when the inauguration happened? Or where they're staying up all night, barely able to keep their job?
They're getting scary. They'll walk around the house, yelling and shouting angrily any time I try to point out how their behaviour is harmful. I've stopped being someone they love, and started being an 'enemy'. God knows I've heard enough stories on here of QAnons killing themselves or their loved ones after the inauguration to be worried.
And even if they weren't, we're meant to be the enemy of fake news. Conspiracy theories are the worst kind of fake news.
They don't care about arguments. Even if I point out that what they're saying is wrong and how many times it's been wrong, they just retreat further into an 'us vs. them' mentality.
If I push them too hard, I become the enemy.
I can't be of use, beyond offering empathy. This is a really rough time. But the government won't affect our lives for long; the virus on its last legs. Things are going to get easier in the next few months. We just need to get through it.
Focus on taking care of yourself. Follow their rules. Go to work. Earn money. Plan for the future. While the restrictions are annoying, they're not going to hurt you.
And any time you get mad, just plan for 2022. Plan for the future.
wtf? that's a terrible fucking idea. why establish that precedent?
imagine if a democratic president was in charge, and the military - who report to them - handled all counting of ballots also, voting is handled by states, not federal
Percentage of incoming ballot deliveries as of the 11/3
- GA, 82.2%
- Central PA, 61.3%
- MI, 78.9%
- Greensboro (NC), 72.9%
- Lakeland (Wisc.), 76.8%
filed in federal court today. fucking hell, imagine how bad it is in rural counties
