They're coming, ready or not...

There is a now groundswell of folks from all walks and persuasions, breakaways and disgruntled groups that presently already form a new coalition, if not in name but in fact. While some of these folks might hesitate at the label 'Republican', they have rallied around an ideal embodied so far by one man, and many simply tolerate the branding of 'Republican'. The dynamics have changed. In some ways, a new party seems already to have formed. Question is, will it allow the ghosts of the GOP to draw it back into the mire, or will it find feet of its own?

Therein lies a big part of the problem I should think. Besides - it appears the GOP is already looking at a generation or more in the wilderness as it is.

Retake? Maybe Remake is more appropriate! Actually, let's start something brand new instead.

As the window of wokeness moves further left, all those now busy lefty-signalling will still be overrun by a baying crowd of increasingly frenzied, indignantly correct and power drunk horde; precisely those they think they seek to appease. In other words, the left will eat its own. The intellectuals are next.

It's time politicians, statisticians and news pundits woke up to the fact that ordinary people are not stupid! They too compare the attendance at the rallies in the election lead-up and see the massive difference. Decency should not be mistaken for sheepish stupidity, look out lefties - you are not facing an unintelligent uninformed populace.

Just the Trump Administration? Think again. We will ALL be made to pay for the crimes committed by the other side.. It's the socialist demonic way. Prepare to become 'sinners' just for breathing.

Maybe they already have personal privileged 'arrangements' in place with Xi... When the Chinese finally take over.

The lefties never read a story. That have CNN tell them bedtime stories instead

Watching her twitch and squirm when she's skewered with her own conduct is a juicy moment!

Thanks for the updoot :) In the meantime I've emailed the author of that article asking him for references to the "R" word other than in his own voice. No reply as of yet, and frankly I don't expect one.

Here's my bigger concern though - if we now constrain OP's to avoid certain publications en-bloc, and even link some form of 'reputation' to what OP's do and don't post, then are we not risking becoming conservative SJW's in effect? Are we not ourselves engaging in a form of subtle cancel culture, berating people into conformity? By toeing the consensus line, we merely become echo chambers of the party line, and we lull each other into a sense of righteous conformity that detaches us from what goes on. Pretty much what we accuse the left of doing to themselves.

I'd wager 'Tis a slippery slope, we risk to launch ourselves on if we enforce 'norming', which history shows becomes more and more constricted as willingness to conform becomes more widespread.

Just my tuppence worth :) Have an awesome day!

Old George's "Newspeak" has evolved even within the conservative movement of late. Perhaps critique of individual source material has become more important than analysis of the evolving landscape of information. That would be ... unfortunate... if people started self-censoring what they posted or were fearful of posting on here to avoid criticism. Perhaps we would prefer contributors to spin-doctor the title or message of the article beyond what the original authors intended. That would make idiots of us all in the end.

I appreciate your thoughtful response. Too many times I've seen 'snipers' harassing for the 'sauce' with the object of derailing the message. TDW is a mosaic forum from what I've seen. Oftentimes a grain of truth (maybe not obvious in the headline itself) is in the fringe dweller publishers. Again, I appreciate your measured response.
