Except the left. Which is why its a stronger message and makes it harder for the left to convince normal people that they should not be free.

I would argue freedom comes before patriotism. Our founders would have given us nothing to be patriotic about had they not given us freedom as laid out in our constitution. The IDEA of freedom is what sparked the writing of our Constitution and patriotism is merely a symptom of enjoying that idea.

Kind of a "chicken or the egg" philosophy. But we would not be patriots if it wasn't for our freedom.

I agree, I enjoy the argument and debate. But on a large scale, what is easier to defend and grow support for. Freedom or Patriotism?

I would say it's far easier for the left to tell me why I shouldn't be patriotic compared to telling me I shouldn't be FREE.

Unfortunately, the term "patriot" has absolutely no connotation with the US Constitution and freedom. At least on a universal scale. And can easily be steered as being a bad thing based on history in the minds of the left and normies who don't understand context.

To us, yes, being a patriot means those things, but by definition, it just means loyalty or love for a country. That could be any country with a whatever beliefs and values that country has. Could be Iraqi patriots, or French patriots etc.

Exactly! We have to beat them at their own game and be better equipped to defend the attacks we all know will come.

I think it is a clear win from a messaging standpoint. Freedom is a call many more people will answer than* Patriotism. Especially as our political environment currently stands.

Would love to hear arguments in favor or against. I find it difficult to see how the Patriot party would be a stronger brand in the short term and especially in the long term.

Motion to switch our branding to FREEDOM.WIN

Holds true universally and is the true root of our mission, to remain free. Patriot indicates a love of country, but if the country is "fundamentally changed" like the left intends to do, it's hard to hold on to the messaging of patriotism being what we ultimately support. We want FREEDOM. Not blind love of country, especially if the left succeed in altering out country.

Do we expect our side to remain patriots for a country that is no longer representative of freedom and liberty?

I'll take the bet as a very worth while hedge. If he does and I have to pay 100 bucks it will be the best Benjamin ever spent.

We need to stop participating in the system. ONLY participate in free enterprise, america first, pro capitalism, pro conservatism businesses. Plus Fed Tax boycott. Is there a well maintained list of true, outspoken conservative businesses to support?

Nothing wrong with more pillows to stash all that heat under, my man.

If there’s one thing to take away from the MAGA movement and keep running with, it’s this. The media, like DJT says, is the enemy of the people. My biggest takeaway these past 4 years by a long shot thanks to DJT.

Thanks for your comment, indeed have some work to do on myself. Marcus Aurelius has actually been one of my favorite figures in history to read about. Pretty wild you brought him up. Currently reading the book "Four Reasonable Men" in which he is the first man discussed. Haven't gotten around to the meditations quite yet and heard it could be a difficult read. Any recommendations on which translation I should pick up?

"By trump stating he will be attending the inauguration, he may be interpreted to be saying that he will be there to lead an insurrection onto the podium and take back power by force with the help of his supporters in attendance as well"

Yes and no. Politically, no (only because she’s been lured down the one way street of thinking trump is a monster because of “mean” things he says and all that bs). But we spent all summer road tripping the country having the time if our lives (She’s not that crazed where she wants to be a hermit, but doesn’t acknowledge some of her hypocrisies in the things we’ve done), we love enjoying all the finer things in life equally, good friends, family, hard work, active life, backpacking, seeing the beauty in the world, same movies, sports, foods, trying new things, etc. Thats what sucks and I tried to illustrate to her while pointing to the tv- If those pundits weren’t on repeat all day telling people how to perceive things that are unfolding right in front of their eyes and instead we were able to be left to our own judgement, we, like the vastMajority of people, would probably see eye to eye on most things.

Yeah thanks professor, I’ve kinda known this might be the only way ever since the political shit show became unavoidable in life (Even though we are far more disconnected than most). Because fact of the matter is I’ve grown to become just about as conservative as they come (Didn’t vote DJT first time, thought him and Hilary were jokes of candidates and being in shiiit home Chicago, thought I’d just pad Gary Johnson’s stats to help encourage a third party rising up) lol but maybe it’s our side’s fault that we are too willing to forgive and reason with people we think are sincerely misguided. I just don’t like to give up on people, but I suppose you’re right

Might have just broken up with my girlfriend about all this. Because I said there’s different levels of wrong and right and wouldn’t jump to call the breaking into the Capitol “bad” quick enough or agree it was an act of terror. We’ve had disagreements and I’ve done my best to slowly introduce her to opposing arguments and truths but I am scared how much the left has anchored their grip in people. The final tipping point may have been me acknowledging that, to some extent, she may be brainwashed by the media and that I used to be too. She did NOT like hearing that I thought her intelligence could be called into question and that she would be lowly enough to fall victim of media influence (even though I admitted I used to and still am capable of it) Maybe I was a little blunt with my word choice but at the end of the day, I suppose it is how I feel and can’t feel too bad about saying it. Idk still stinks, have been together over a year and have really never chilled/ been such a friend with my girlfriends in the past and had so much in common. Tried to show that maybe my willingness to challenge one another’s beliefs and find common ground and her in willingness to do so should maybe raise some flags in her mind, but no, I think she is past the point of reconciliation. Wants to be with someone who she doesn’t have to argue about the “real issues” at hand: no joke, that being wearing a mask, lockdowns working, not questioning everything so much. Not very chill, but I’m still gonna miss her and am pissed that the media teaches great girls like her that they need to be scared and how people like us who only want the truth are a danger to our county.

Unreal. Time for a boycott of participation in our banana republic government. No taxes April 15th is where we should focus.

2
TheChillConservative 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agree with the taxes (and voting only if the taxes are abandoned first), we need to make this our primary goal. Stop willfully participating in and perpetuating the corrupt system. Suffocate and dry up the swamp, quit using our our blood sweat and tears to keep it inhabitable for the creatures within it.

“No logic or reasoning allowed! Or video of what he actually said! Or tweets of him urging peace! Or videos of antifa instigating the breaking and entering either! It was all unhinged trump who is responsible for the horrific window smashing that we should be terrified by! We need to remove him before they break more windows of buildings they own and beg for accountability of our government!”

Once again proves the fbi is just another arm of the left being used to manipulate public perception in order to further their agenda.

Just look a little closer to YT’s full statement and the specific example they happen to give.

“For example we will remove videos claiming a Presidential candidate won the election due to widespread software glitches or counting errors.”

My first thoughts when I read DJTs tweet was that they have the testimony of someone high up in Dominion or another area of the voting software who flipped and came forward with evidence.
