I totally agree that our forces would destroy theirs. The only difference I see between the US and China would be their willingness to use their nuclear arsenal against us. I dont see Trump making the decision for a preemptive strike.

I understand the long game of all the issues you brought up, along with their aging population. Their future is very much in doubt as long as they dont become the leaders in next generation communications and AI. I personally feel that a full on conflict may be necessary to end the agression and human rights violations that seem eerily like the 1930s repeating itself.
