True indeed. But, the way I see it, communism wasn't as virulent and as poisonous as it is this day and age. This time, it's China tearing the country from within, unchallenged. We can think about it like this: Soviet Union hardly had 180 millions inhabitants. if you assume totalitarian states have a ratio of 1 secret police for every 10 citizens at the time, and 1 foreign service agent for every 50 citizens, the maximum infiltrators the soviets could ever muster for the USA would have been around 3.6 millions (we know it's way less than that because they lacked funding)
If we consider the Chinese a good student of the soviet intelligence school and use the same ratios... that makes it 30 million potential infiltrators!! That's 2 major cities. That's a whole State! It's a whole European country! That's whole Australia! They are Everywhere! They have to be just banned.
