I'm not buying that it's 50/50 honestly. Unless there were just that many people in the comfortably blue states who didn't vote last election who suddenly decided to vote this time (which is a possibility), I'm betting that the big reason for it being so close in popular vote is just overall dem fuckery.
The dems can cheat in smaller states in middle America without drawing too much attention. They don't need to win those states, but if they can boost numbers enough it adds to the illusion that this is a "close race" and helps boost their narrative that things need to continue until next month.

So much this. I live in an area of CA that’s actually pretty conservative, but nobody goes to vote because everyone just buys into the “CA is was and always will be blue” idea.
