I remember when the guy who practically discovered retroviruses said HIV was merely a marker for risky behavior and stated the deaths were caused, not by the virus, but by recreational drug abuse causing the immune system compromises (or by the drug AZT being used to treat AIDS).

Peter H. Duesberg, Ph.D. is a professor of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. Biographical Sketch

He isolated the first cancer gene through his work on retroviruses in 1970, and mapped the genetic structure of these viruses. This, and his subsequent work in the same field, resulted in his election to the National Academy of Sciences in 1986. He is also the recipient of a seven-year Outstanding Investigator Grant from the National Institutes of Health.

On the basis of his experience with retroviruses, Duesberg has challenged the virus-AIDS hypothesis in the pages of such journals as Cancer Research, Lancet, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Science, Nature, Journal of AIDS, AIDS Forschung, Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapeutics, New England Journal of Medicine and Research in Immunology. He has instead proposed the hypothesis that the various American/European AIDS diseases are brought on by the long-term consumption of recreational drugs and/or AZT itself, which is prescribed to prevent or treat AIDS.

Bible says there won't be another flood. It's fire when Jesus returns.

Let me ask you this. Have the Republicans done anything to reverse the Brady Bill?

The answer to that question is also the answer to yours, regardless of what the answer is.

Mitch talked out of both sides of his mouth. Mitch only cares about Mitch, period.

You really think that beats the 40M+ votes the Democrats pulled off? Even if Joe ends up getting prosecuted, he's still got your Calabrian beat.

Yep, this crackdown on Hunter Biden and gang has really hurt Mitch's cocaine profits in these trying times.

If Trump trusted McConnell to do anything not in McConnell's interest, he wasn't playing 3D chess.

Cuomo won an Emmy, so there's precedent.

What the hell is going on around here?

People are getting impatient like they're kids on a long Christmas break forced to wait until Christmas to find out if the gift they really want is going to be under the tree.

Election happened 42 days ago and we have nothing but speculation on what's going to happen even though there's some very solid information on the actual fraud if you have the time to do some research.

We've never seen anything like this in the history of the United States.

The cool heads are going to keep up with the developments but are going to apply the 48 hour rule to any breaking news. Once the emotion around the story subsides, it's easier to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Remember, to liberals who actually voted for Joe, they weren't voting for Joe. They were voting for "Not Trump."

It means the tyrants who want to disarm us have to abolish the 2nd Amendment, which isn't going to happen overnight. How do they convince us to give up those rights ourselves over time? By slowly taking them away over time, and even withdrawing for a bit when gun owners get vocal and fight back.

Thesis: Innocent people are being murdered by guns

Antithesis (Democrats): Ban all guns

Synthesis (Republicans): Introduce Brady Bill, which imposes 5 day wait on gun purchases.

Rinse and repeat

Thesis: Innocent people are STILL being murdered by guns

Antithesis (Democrats): Ban all guns

Synthesis (Republicans): Assault weapons ban in the fine print of the 1994 crime bill.

They've been following this template since the 1930s. The bump stock ban was just the latest iteration.

Here's a timeline of gun control laws in the US (ends in 2008)-

Read it and see how they've slowly but surely diluted the 2nd Amendment over the years. The only thing that slowed things down was the fact George W. Bush and other Republicans loved that sweet NRA money.

Hegelian Dialectic. This concept used to be taught in all universities.

Hegel was inspired by Plato, Kant, and Fichte.

Fichte proposed the following -

thesis—antithesis—synthesis

Government wants a solution and they use opposing viewpoints on both sides of the aisle to get what they want.
