The deadlines are a double-edged sword. They help us as much as they endanger us. If Biden stays "above 270" until the vote, then it's over for us obviously. But if the states suddenly get tangled up in the courts and he can't untangle them in time to reach 270, we win by default.
It's possible they're running down the clock on purpose. Tie up the states at the last minute and deny a few of them the chance to cast electoral votes. Biden doesn't reach 270, Trump wins.

Trump has two paths to victory. 270 votes OR a tiebreaker. If neither candidate wins 270, the election is bumped down to the House, where Trump wins handily. Each state only gets one vote and there are several more red votes than blue ones. Plus Pence would get a vote if it somehow split evenly.
Trump doesn't need 270. Only Biden does. If neither candidate hits 270, Trump wins it in the house.
I'm not saying Georgia doesn't matter, because it absolutely does. But even if GA falls, we haven't lost.
