I hate the reflexive faith in whatever a scientist says. It's like we learned nothing from tobacco industry science or hydroxychloriquine: they concluded whatever you pay them to. Science is skepticism

I think the Chinese might have rockets. But it's okay because we traded the opium

It seems to me that the arc of American history is a continual struggle against our own hypocrisy and failure to uphold the enlightenment values of our founding. Stripping our rights of assembly, expression, and self defense is the same failure as slavery and racial discrimination. The factions hardly matter. History will judge harshly those who undermine natural rights.

The Republican party was founded on a dual mission of ending slavery and polygamy. With the possible exception of Mitt Romney, the party has been very consistent on these issues

I'd be interested to see how this compares to last year. The ratings were probably inflated going into the election.

I'm not a legal expert, but I think you could argue against mandatory vaccines in the US because of Roe v. Wade. The reason is that the government making medical decisions between you and your doctor would be a violation of due process. This is the same reason why I think Roe v. Wade and government run healthcare are mutually exclusive on a legal basis.

Try this one: "my body, my choice". If your debating a lefty, this will likely infuriate them, can't make a distinction between risking their life without making a pro-life argument.
